The 2021 Scholastic Book Fair was a success!
Mahalo friends and family of Keonepoko students! Thanks to your donations and purchases, we were able to buy every single book on teachers wish lists for their classrooms! We will also be able to continue to support the joy of reading and literacy in the coming months. We so appreciate all you do and have done to support students in their reading journeys! We couldn't do what we do without you!

Aloha e Keonepoko Elementary Families,
Welcome to school year 2019-2020
I wanted to introduce myself as I am the new librarian at Keonepoko Elementary. My name is Abbie Waite and I have taken over the running of the library from Mrs. Funes.
I have always loved being in libraries and it was my dream to work in one. I also love working with kids and I knew from the time I was in elementary school that I wanted to be a teacher in some capacity. This job combines my two passions and I couldn’t be happier to be here in this position.
We have such an amazing library and I am so honored and excited to be here and also be a part of the community. I am planning on running the library like Mrs. Funes did, as she has done so much to make this library the wonderful, engaging, and lovely place it is. I am also excited about some fun new ideas I’d like to share with you throughout the year. If you have any questions or want to check out the library, please feel free to contact me through the school at 313-4500. We could also set up a time for you drop by and say hello!
